Restrictions : A Part of My Life

The Breaking Point

In no time, the day of the final exam draws near. It was a very difficult time for both Rahul and Abhijeet. On the day of the examination, they were seated according to the results of the previous examination. Neha, who scored first rank is on the first bench, Rahul is behind her and Abhijeet is behind Rahul. Rahul had studied completely but still, he was nervous. He was afraid of what would happen if he did not come first. Every day of the exam passed like a war, and Rahul used to remember the words Rahul's father spoke every day. Finally, the exams were over, and now all were waiting for the results.

The results were going to come after 15 days. Rahul kept thinking about the results every day and was afraid. His condition was not seen by his father, so he sent him to his grandfather's house for some days.

Rahul used to enjoy it very much because he was not there to put restrictions on him. He had many cousins of him, with whom he used to play cricket and have lots of fun. But this time Rahul started living alone there too, and he was worried about his results. Seeing all this, his elder brothers started feeling very strange. Rahul, who used to be very happy as soon as he came here, is sitting here sad. Together they did a lot to see Rahul happy, but Rahul had a lot going on in his mind, and his mind had become very disturbed.

Days passed like this and Rahul started getting more and more worried. Finally, the day of the results came. Rahul's father had called him back home a day earlier. Rahul's father had full faith that this time he would come first. Rahul's father said to Rahul that tomorrow after getting the result we will go to get a watch for him. Rahul felt very afraid. He wanted to tell his father that he didn't want any watches, and he didn't want to come first. But he couldn't say anything. He just nodded yes.

The next day Rahul and his father were going to collect the result, and on the way, they met a friend of Rahul's father. Rahul's father told him that Rahul's result was going to come today, and also told him about feeding him sweets while coming. Rahul, who was watching all this happening sitting on the back of the bike, now got even more scared. When they reached the school, they came to know that the results had already started. Suddenly Rahul's father met Abhijeet's maternal grandfather. Both greeted each other. Rahul had no way now, he started praying to God that he should come first, and save your father's honour somehow.

Rahul panicked as soon as the teacher called Rahul's name. Rahul's father took him inside and asked the teacher for the results. The teacher said with great disappointment, "Rahul is a brilliant student but doesn’t know why he didn't do well this time." Rahul got frightened. His teacher said that Rahul had come in 7th. With a disappointed face, his father came out with Rahul. Now Rahul's father did not even ask to know what was the result of Abhijeet. He considered his son a loser. They started coming home with Rahul. Rahul was feeling very bad as well as he was also afraid of what was going to happen to him in the house. After coming home, his father scolded him a lot and also hit him. That was the first time Rahul was beaten by his father.

Rahul was so fed up with all this that he now started thinking of ending it all, everything, his studies, and his life. Rahul decides that he has no right to live if he cannot live up to his father's expectations. He chose to die, a bloody suicide.

                                                                     To be continued….

What do you guys think? Is it really Rahul's fault? Was it right to put so much pressure on a little boy?

Maybe Rahul would have come first if there was no pressure on him. Parents should understand that their son is not just a means to fulfill their wishes. Boys also have some desires.

Don't snatch a boy's childhood just for your honor, maybe this mistake of yours will take away your child from you.
